International Recognition
Ravi Paranjape is one of the most eminent recipients of an 'Academy Award' presented by the 'American Academy of Artists' for an outstanding artistic achievement.
An 'American Academy of Artists' is a New Jersey based organization established in 1993 having over 340 active members world-wide. One of it's major activity is producing, sponsoring and creating events that honor artistic achievements from around the world.
This year the Academy chose 'India'; The country which is known for it's cultural heritage for past thousands of years. Artists from several branches of art such as Fine Arts, Films, Indian Classical Music, are being honored with the 'Academy Award' for their invaluable contribution to the art.
The Academy's 'Mission Statement' includes following
To Introduce various artistic achievement in the chosen country/culture, to the American media.
To strengthen the ties between the generations of immigrants living in the United States and the arts & achievements of their original country.

- First Middle Eastern Artistic event for honoring various artists from the major Arab countries in the Middle East. This event was sponsored by The White House and The United NationsOctober 1997
